On Monday, May 29, 2017, Life Leaders participated in Memorial Day ceremonies at the Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo, Alabama, directed by Col. Bob Barefield (USA Ret), trustee and chair of Patriotism in Action for Life Leaders. The wreath is at the tomb of C. Hilton “Stretch” Dunn, Jr., our friend in Life Leaders and Patriotism in Action for 25 years.
The American Village honored our Veterans Day Founding History Education started by our Patriotism in Action team with the Above and Beyond Award. Also honored were Raymond Weeks for starting Veterans Day; Col. Stretch Dunn (1943-2017), Patriotism in Action, for helping to tell the education story; Mark Ryan, for serving as president of National Veterans Day after Bill Voigt and Raymond Weeks.
